For Immediate Release: January 27, 2015;  BC Green party candidate Joe Keithley and BC Green Party leader Andrew Weaver will mainstreet the  Coquitlam Central Station of the West Coast express at the SW corner of Pinetree and Lougheed Hwy in Coquitlam Thursday January 28th at 4 PM – 5 PM.

Come meet new BC Green party leader Weaver who is the MLA for Oak Bay-Gordon Head and Keithley who is the BC Green candidate in the February 2nd Coquitlam-Burke Mountain by-election.

Weaver and Keithley will be talking with residents about transportation infrastructure and ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

Keithley has had productive meetings with new Coquitlam MP Ron McKinnon and Mayor Richard Stewart about improving Coquitlam’s transportation infrastructure. Keithley proposes that the three levels of government build an intermodal transportation hub at Coquitlam Central. This hub would include: a secure parking garage, electric car charging stations, bike racks and complete rain cover as well as more buses to get people to the station.

Recently Keithley said: “Christy Clark has had five years to get more buses for Coquitlam, she has been hiding her head in the ground on this, no wonder the election was called on Groundhog Day.  The BC Liberals have been ignoring one the fastest growing communities in BC and the NDP have no vision on this either, enough is enough, it’s time for a change.”
